Membership
The Alumni Association is comprised of more than 20,000 alumni and the Alumni Executive Council (AEC).

You are automatically a lifetime member of the OLLU Alumni Association if you attended Our Lady of the Lake High School, College or University for the period of one full academic year.

Membership Card information
You must have an alumni membership ID card in order to use the Sister Elizabeth Anne Sueltenfuss Library and campus facilities. Your ID also entitles you to a 10% discount on emblematic merchandise at the OLLU Bookstore.

Graduating students receive their alumni cards in the mail with their welcome packet.  All other alumni who do not have an ID card are encouraged to request a card by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations at 210-431-3985 or alumni@lake.ollusa.edu.

Where do I obtain an ID Card?  If you are on campus, go to the Assessment Center located in the basement of the Walter Student Services Center to request your ID.
 
Normal office hours for processing alumni cards are:
     Monday- Tuesday  8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
     Wednesday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m.
     Friday 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
     Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

How do I activate my Alumni card?  Go to the Sueltenfuss Library circulation desk for a barcode to activate your card.

Privileges
Alumni Events - You'll receive invitations to alumni events to help you stay in touch with other alumni.
 
Discounts - Receive 10% discount on emblematic items from the OLLU bookstore.
Free Parking Permit (upon request) - receive a parking permit to park on campus.
     Parking permits do not expire.
     Permits may be requested in person, by mail or by phone.
     Two permits per alumni are allowed with proof of vehicles.

     Proof Necessary to Obtain Permit
     OLLU's Campus Police requires the following information for each vehicle before a permit is issued:
          Alumni photo ID
          Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
          Vehicle license plate number
          Proof of insurance (insurance company and expiration date)
          Driver's license number
          Make, model, and color, two or four door
          Social security number
          Home and business address, and phone number

University Wellness and Activities Center including swimming pool area.
Sister Elizabeth Anne Sueltenfuss Library
     Book checkout  Limit of four books; two week loan period; one renewal; late fees are 10 cents per day.
     Leisure Reading Collection  Limit of three books; two week loan period; one renewal.
     Non-circulating items  Reference, journals, media (videos, dvd's, cd's, etc), reserve material.
     Services  Access to databases from library workstations. No remote access to: databases, Texshare cards
     or interlibrary loan service. No use of Information Skills Lab pc's.


Alumni Executive Council (AEC)
The AEC serves as an advisory body to the Office of Alumni Relations. They represent you and serves as your voice.

Alumni Relations Assistant

  • The Alumni Executive Council is comprised of area representatives from the San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas areas, at-large members, its committees, the president, vice president/president-elect, and secretary.
  • The role of the president is to provide leadership by assisting the Office of Alumni Relations to successfully implement its operational plan.
  • The vice president's role is to represent the president in instances where the president is not available; to assist the president in providing leadership for the AEC; and to serve as president-elect.
  • One representative from each of the areas outside of San Antonio will chair a committee representing their area.
  • The other area representatives will chair or serve on other committees.
  • At-large representatives will be appointed by the council to chair other committees such as the publicity, scholarship and mentoring committees.
  • The role of the area representative chairs is to form committees in the various geographic constituency areas that will;
    • provide ideas and voice concerns to the council
    • assist in implementing programs and activities that fulfill the objectives of the alumni association
    • coordinate area events.
  • The Alumni Executive Council meets officially two to three times a year.
  • The terms of office for Council members will be staggered for two and three year terms.
  • The entire body consisting of Executive Council and the various constituency committees will meet once a year at the annual meeting of the Alumni Association held during Homecoming.
